I bought this to use in a camping canopy. The different lighting modes give this a very fun atmosphere but you need lanterns for your main lighting as these lights create a soft glow.

The lights are very dim and get dimmer in about 3 hours after draining the batteries. The instructions are written in microtext. I wasnt able to get the lights to simply stay on - they always went through the cycles of dimming, flashing, etc. Lame. Lame. Lame. This product didnt cost much, but its not worth even that.

The price is right, but they are very very dim. Dont expect one string to provide any usable light for nighttime. Also, the remote cycles through lots of different flashing options but theyre all pretty bad. I wish there was a slow/gentle alternating twinkle. All of the options are more like strobe lights at the club.

The strand for these lights is very sturdy. The remote is pretty easy to use as you just select between 8 modes and adjust the brightness. Make sure you pull the plastic battery protector out to make it work. You can adjust the brightness with the remote. To have them bright, you need good batteries. The batteries are easy to change.

AA battery powered, waterproof and long enough to go around a 10x10 canopy. Not too bright so doesnt attract bugs, but still can see to get around in a dark primitive camp setting. Good value.

I love these battery operated LED lights, the remote is easy to use, theres 8 different functions, a timer, and the batteries last a long time (we use energizer max). Would recommend this product.

I thought the remote would make it easy for me to go out on my front porch and turn the lights, that were down below about 20 feet, on and off but the range is only about 8 feet. Still, the lights look good on the hill at night. The rechargeable batteries last about 3 nights.... itd be great if they had a solar charger and a photo cell.....

Bought for decorating motor home when camping. My daughter has one and loves it and the many various ways to set the lights. So we wanted one too!!

The lights are pretty sturdy since they are encased. Batteries seem to last a long time. The remote control is nice.
