FixCracked Touch Screen Replacement Parts Digitizer Glass Assembly for ipad 7 7th / 8 8th Gen 2019 2020 with Home Botton Cover(No Touch ID) + Screen protector and Professional Tool Kit (Black)

The replacement I ordered was the correct one for my sons iPad according to model number etc. It appeared to be the right size and came nicely packaged with a high quality set of tools but there were no instructions or anything indicating style,size, application etc. I have replaced one before and was successful so I kind of knew what I was doing. Turns out the one I was sent was slightly too small, the adhesive wouldn’t stick which made it continuously pip up and out of place , and there was an issue with the connection to the iPads LCD causing the screen to glitch constantly making it impossible to use. I am not impressed at all and still have a useless iPad.

I ended up breaking my screen vuz 5he supposed s Philips was a star tip and slipped out and completely broke my tablet

Poor quality !!!! The first one the touch didn’t work. And got a replacement. The second screen worker but once I put on it just cracked from the corner .

Screen is too fragile. Disappointed screen cracked easily as we were finishing up installation.

Glass is absolute garbage, it cracked with a gentle push as I was installing it

I broke my screen and ordered a kit from another seller. Tape didnt stick and screen cracked. That seller was very nice and sent a replacement, which ghosted terribly and didnt work. Felt bad and didnt want to ask for another one so bought this one during Prime Day sale. This kit is better quality than that one and it worked flawlessly. Invaluable I collected from other reviews and cosign: 1. Apply the tempered glass screen protector first before you start anything, otherwise the digitizer may crack when sealing. 2. Order Tesa black tape. Thats suppose to be OEM. Peel off and remove all the tape on the digitizer and apply Tesa tape. Not sure how long this digitizer will last, but will reorder if needed in the future. Screen brightness is comparable to the original Apple screen (the other sellers was lower resolution and dimmer).

It was well packed and in new condition. The glass, electrical connections, and adhesive tape were all good. I can’t wait to install it!

I think the iFixIt shop wants $150 to replace the glass and our ipad was only $300 so I figured try and fix it or replace the whole ipad if I cant. I used a heat gun and consistently heated the outter edges until the glass started to pry away using the metal flat blade that was included (and it worked great) Remember to start on the left side and then do the top and bottom before moving to the right. The home button and glass each have a ribbon cable that go behind the screen on the bottom right. Theres how-to videos online which are very helpful but this is something anyone can do with some patience.

Installed the new glass after watching several videos. Price was great, the glass fits perfect, all the tools worked well and as intended, packaging was sufficient to protect item in shipping. It came with a protective glass cover but I botched the install by not getting all the dust out, so I cant really speak of how well that works since I had to throw it away, but its nice they included it. Two days in it still works, the adhesive is holding, and Im really happy. If anything changes Ill update the review.
