The worn-out OEM part was worn-out, leaking (diesel-out and air-in) and was not serviceable. I purchased a universal filter base (WIX 24770 or Napa 4770) to mount this filter in a more convenient location. I really like that this has a clear bowl to see A) that its working, and B) when water accumulates. The bowl also has a drain and a port for the water-in-fuel sensor.

I wanted to purchase a fuel filter with the plastic bowl already attached and this one was just right.

Used it on my Cat C7 motorhome
