Its pretty cool and pretty easy to install. It has an automation at the beginning which is pretty neat.

This light strip performs exactly as in the video description. I does a really cool little light dance and then powers on solid until the vehicle is started, once the engine is running the light turns off. I dont know how it knows. I even wired it straight to the battery to confirm. Its wired back to my daytime running lights now so it activates when I unlock doors or open them. The length is exact as advertised, I suggest measuring your own hood opening for a perfect fit. I only deducted a star because the light powers off once running and this was not mentioned in the description.

I received the hood light strip the other day and then watched a YouTube video just to make sure I knew of any possible issues. Which Ill cover later when it comes to the red adhesive tape that is on both sides of the strip. Before starting I hooked up the lights, the black wire to the ground, and the red wire to my horn fuse since that will only turn on when I turn on my truck. With the vehicle on, I placed the lit strip in place and used painters tape to hold it. This allowed me to closed the hood so I could see if the strip was lined up well and if I needed to make any adjustments. Im not sure of your vehicle but for a Ram 1500, this is where I could see the red adhesive tape poking out at certain areas, mostly the center area. I could remove the top red adhesive tape but then I thought that strip would probably stick to the top of the hood which would create another issue if I opened the hood. So, back to YouTube, here I found a video of a guy that talked about this exact issue and his fix was to use electrical tape. Use small strips and line them up which blended in perfectly with my black truck. Once everything was done I hid the extra wire length with some zip ties and I was finished. I did add a small notch to the fuse box so I could route the red wire to keep it from being cut when I closed the box, the wires are not that thick. I would say that it probably took an hour to complete but if you do your research, have your electrical tape, know where to place the red wire, and have your socket on hand you can probably knock it out in about 15 to 20 minutes. Overall I am very pleased with the LED strip and I think it looks great at night, I especially like it when you turn on your vehicle and you see the light dance across, kind of like Knight Rider (if you know that reference).

I ordered this for my Chevy Silverado and the length is perfect. However, only the section along the grill can be seen if you stick it to the underside. The parts that go above the lights are hidden by the hood. Installation was pretty straight forward and I watched a quick tip video before doing it, so I knew what I was doing. I put the red into the fuse for the headlights and the black on the negative battery terminal. When I turned it all on, it looks good, but one small section (about 1 inch in length) isn’t as bright as the rest of it. I tried to take a picture, but since it is on, it washed out the pic and you can’t see it. All in all, it looks good and I am satisfied with it.

These are one of the brighter strips Ive tried, but even so, not really bright enough to be DRLs, even though they are plenty bright at night. The LEDs are quite dense, roughly 4 per inch, and provide a fairly even pattern though the milky silicone outer sheath. They have a scanning startup pattern, and can be cut to length in short intervals at the marked points visible on one side - though you have to remove the red adhesive tape backing to see the marks. Note that the marks vary in position, so dont just measure the one interval at the end and assume you can multiply from that! The chip that provides the scanning function is only at one end, so if you want to cut the strip in half (say) only one end will scan. The other end (once you solder wires on) will just light all the LEDs immediately.

So many of these on the market; Ive ordered a few...basically at these lower price points, I dont see much difference on initial inspection/install. While I can recommend these for others to purchase and enjoy, I certainly would come back here for another order, yet shop around for best value (if not added/new features by then). These work well, and the longer 79 inch length are not as common...so I feel the price under $20 for a single strip is a decent deal at this current time.

This is one of the coolest accessories I’ve gotten for my car. I only wish the fuse box in my engine bay didn’t receive constant power. These stay on at all times which drain my battery. Instillation was really easy. I used painters tape to stick the light on at first to get the right placement. The hard part, which was not hard at all, was to figure out which fuse controls my lights. After watching a few different YouTube videos I was able to figure out some logistic workarounds. I drive a 2011 Ford Edge and ordered the 79” light. I’d recommend going with the 70”

Its easy to install. Make sure you clean the surface very well before using the double stick thats provided. Another thing is that you just need are a few tap connectors if you want to connect it to your daytime driving lights so its just one simple switch. Other than that, it just looks ok and pretty bright. Its not the greatest but if you like something like this, I recommend using a stronger double stick tape so that this light strip holds on better. Its very flexible and can follow turns and curves of your cars body or bumper lip.
