I bought this basic model as a backup to my much more expensive Fluke Meter. You’re definitely paying for the name here as there are a lot of cheaper alternatives with more features. A plus is that the test leads are well made compared to cheaper models. On the negative side, there is no display backlighting making it difficult to read in sub-optimal lighting conditions. I used it at work today to test it in real word use and found it worked good enough for me (as a backup). For a primary VOM l need display lighting and a current measurement setting which the 101 doesn’t have. Lastly, while the build quality seems ok, measurements seem a little slow to display. Again, acceptable for a backup meter. 4-Stars.
