FLUKE-101 Digital Multimeter

Overall I like the multimeter but I had to deduct two stars.

Nice pocket multimeter from Fluke. It is Chinese built but does not compromise. Got to wonder how much protection it offers.

1. I have never seen a multimeter that didnt have a current measurement function. As consumers we shouldnt have to evaluate every last minutiae of product detail.

This meter didnt work too long. When it did work it would take long to get a reading, the numbers would jump around for like 6 seconds before it gave the reading. It wont turn on now I put new batteries and try shaking the meter, wedged metal stuff between connections, fuse, I squeeze the meter and sometimes it turns on, its aggravating when you have to troubleshoot with a pos meter.

This is a fine meter for hobbyist electronics, 12v solar power systems, ham radio, and general household use. I love how simple it is to operate, the compact size, and the Fluke quality. All that, and the price is extremely reasonable.

This it a great little meter for the money.

Works as intended. Cant go wrong with a Fluke

For decades as an communications technician, I used Fluke day in and day out. More likely to lose than to break. Fluke is the best. I cheaped out bought something else. In the end, bought the Fluke. The only way to go in my opinion.

was given a better model but never needed anything more than what i get out of this guy. strictly everything i know how to use. check household and automotive electrical. check batteries to see which ones to toss. im sure id be fine with an amazon branded one but this one aint that expensive so why not get it?
