Works Great! I had a different brand previously that quit working after a few months. This one is always on. I now habitually check against known hot circuits. Not so sensitive that its always going off for everything. So happy I bought this.

This tester does the job. I am an electrician and I need a tester which works - every time. I use this daily and have used it now for a year with no problems. Cheaper units fail to work and that is dangerous. Fluke is a very good brand.

I bought this to replace my old one, which bit the dust due to my own negligence... I rely on this to keep me from being electrified or electrocuted when opening a panel, receptacle, junction box, etc. to let me know if the circuit is hot or not. Of course, you can also verify if the hot leg is in the proper place in a receptacle as the nose of this tester fits perfectly into a receptacle. Fluke products are rock solid, industrial quality products. I trust them with my life. I own several of their products including amp clamps, multi meters, etc. and I have no intention or desire to stray to other brands. Their products are top quality and the most reliable I have seen or used.

Hot wire: tester reads positive sometimes, negative others. Dead wire: tester reads negative sometimes, positive others. Way to risky to rely on, and I tested in in several situations, and after a thorough read of the instructions. Its not a china product, by the way, its Korean as far as I can tell.
