Fluke T6-1000 PRO Electrical Tester

Not an electrician but this is far superior to my old tester. Really like the field sense technology.

The meter feels durable and is able to take measurements safely and efficiently via the FieldSense feature. This feature can greatly speed up my work without the hazards involved with using traditional meter leads around live electrical equipment. I really like the meter a lot but the voltage sense needs some more work to make it work better.

Update 3/2018: I’ve been working with a rep and the engineers from Fluke (I’m in the Seattle area near their HQ) and they have been quite interested and helpful in the issues I’ve identified. Met them at their HQ and discussed the issues I’ve found, and even got a tour of the assembly factory, which was quite fascinating!

This Tester was for my son who is taking classes and it was exactly what he needed.
