25-11-2024Industrial electrician here. Wasnt sure about this one, thought the field sense was a gimmick, actually works for me just fine. It saved me a bunch of time today not pulling extra covers and probing.

> 3 dayIts Fluke and Im happy to say this is another example of their excellent products. Ive been trying to diagnose an intermittent issue with my tank-less water heater and a contact-less current reading is just what I needed. As far as I can tell it is very accurate as the elements should be pulling 30 amps each and thats what is reading. The fact that its not a one-trick pony is nice too. The upgraded version allows reading voltage and current at the same time but its not too difficult with this one to hit the button to switch between them. The well made leads round it out by allowing resistance/conductivity measurements as well. They wrap the wire with thick rubber so I expect them to hold up to a lot of use. The body itself is sturdy as well with nothing flimsy and a strong plastic over the display. If for some reason you cut them they are made to be able to be replaced so thats a plus. This is a good auto-ranging meter and Id recommend it to anyone.

> 3 dayAll multimeters should have backlit display standard. Paid big bucks for this just to have backlit display and Volts&Amps on one screen. But it doesnt give decimal reading for voltage, even using test leads, so testing batteries is out of the question.
