I have gotten this carbon bag several times for my 511 turtle filter and it has worked great..make sure you let water run over it for a minute or so; so the black carbon color can come out. make sure your not to rough with the little bag cause its possible you can break it easily. even though it hasnt happen to me its possible but have in mind you can use this in other filters too. its comes with 3 packs of carbon bags which last a good amount of time maybe 9 months to a year. since i change it every 3 months. which is pretty good for its price. i recommend it for peolpe that use 511 filters ..it does its job.

i use this in my hang on filter, the 100g bags are too big for it so i rest a bag over one of my fingers whilst pushing the carbon either side then stitch two lines across the middle with a gap in between them so i can cut the one bag into two which is the perfect size for my hang on placed either side of the pump behind the filter sponge. it does a superb job of clearing cloudy water and removing trace metals.
