Fox High Pressure Shock Pump

Initial unboxing impression: Seems well made and high quality. It’s weighty and feels like legit kit. Use impression: I have a 10+ year old Fox pump, handed down to me with duct tape repairs. It is horrible. Engagement to valve stem is questionable, the stroke seems to actually do something during 20% of the travel, the gauge bounces around erratically. This pump is worse: engagement of the seal is more questionable, gauge bounces around more and pump action seems even less relevant to objective. Fail. I expected more from Fox. I have limited experience with suspension pumps. Maybe this is the best. If so, I need to start a new business.

This product came with the pressure gauge at 70 psi and will not drop below 70. My shock requires pressures above 230 psi which makes this pump useless. Ive tried readjusting the dial and cannot do it myself. I wrote Fox to try and get an answer about how to fix it and never received a reply. Very unhappy with the pump and with Fox

Works great for pumping up my front suspension. The gage seems pretty accurate for 100+ psi, but on mine it seems to start effectively reading at 50+ psi even thought it should read from 0. It’s not a problem for my use, but If I put it on something in that range it jumps from 0 to around 50 on the gage without really indicating the increase between. If you need the lower range sensitivity I’d consider the 150psi version instead.

This thing does its job. it isnt fancy or anything but it pumps up my fork and has a good way to see the pressure.

It worked great a few times. Then the hose broke off where it connects to the pump. Seems like a real weak spot.

I wanted to buy another shock pump both in case I lose one as well as to occasionally make sure I’m getting the right measurements. This is really poorly made. The rubber boot on the air hose is coming off from the factory. Otherwise, it does read very accurately compared to my other shock pump so I have no complaints there. I would probably buy something else if you need one of these.

Pump shaft was bent but it still works ok so did not return. High quality materials and pressure gauge is accurate.

Has been working great even after being tossed around for over a year.
