Used on the bottom of aluminum boat to remove epoxy coating. The variety of brushes was perfect for hard removable in hard to reach spots to a finer wheel to polish with. Held up and didn’t loose much wire. Job finished and still usable.

So I bought these because I needed something that was a little softer which the stainless steel ones are to help with a project that Im working on. On the main parts of my project I used a flap wheel but on the tighter areas I use these and got the exact same result as the large wheel. So I also tried using these on my cast iron skillet to detail some of the areas so I can bring it down to metal and re-season them. I bought a couple different varieties from home Depot and harbor freight that stated they were the same but I assure you were not. They do lose some metal but thats the nature of these. I will be buying again when these get worn down more so I recommend them to anyone who is in need.

I have had the results I hoped for with this product. I have had very little issues with the bristles letting go and great results with getting rid of rust issues.

I took a magnet to it to test it and it is stainless steel. the shaft and flange holding the bristles is metal of course.

The thing I like most is that they are a soft brush. They clean aluminum well without excessive scratching. After one days use, they appear to not be shedding bristles like some do. The rpm limit is 4500, so dont use them with a die grinder. This is a drill speed tool.
