> 3 dayAfter nearly an hour of trying to pair the plug, and carefully following the directions and all the suggestions in the More Device-Pairing FAQ, I clicked on the Report an Issue link. Clicked on Fails to connect then Wi-Fi device to discover that the device cannot connect to a Wi-Fi 6 network. Would have been nice to have this limitation listed in the product description. Sending back as a very unhappy former customer.

> 3 dayAwesome product! Integrates with the Smart Home app, IFTTT app and Alexa within moments. Ive only owned this product for a few weeks, however I have several of the same plugs under a different manufacturer label and they work very well and have held up over a few years. The current price 12/2020 of the 10A four pack is the best I have seen to date for the same product.

17-11-2024Setting these up with Smart Life took about a minute each. One of the four plugs I tested needed to be updated and had a strange name so it might have been old stock. All function very well and can be controlled from the smart life main page. Initial setup on these was super easy as they all came up in programming mode. I didnt have to use AP or other modes. I have a dedicated 2.4 Ghz ceiling mounted TP link AP that I use for home automation. I already had some Tuya devices linked to Alexa so asking her to discover new devices was a simple thing. I find its easier to create a name for the plug in the smart life app that Alexa will adopt rather than edit it in alexa. The cases on these plugs appear to be sonic welded. While theres an FCC mark I couldnt find an FCC certification to readily identify the TUYA wifi module.

> 3 dayThe executive overview: DO like: Theyre really cheap and they work great after theyre set up. DONT like: The setup process is convoluted. Also you have to give an email address during setup. The documentation that is included with the device is outdated and shows an old version of the Google Home app. The app has had significant changes since the documentation was made so the UI path is different. If you have a mixed mode wifi access point (2.4GHz and 5GHz at the same time with the same SSID) or your AP is only 5GHz, youll need to purchase and set up a seperate wifi access point for these plugs. Also I dont know what the other reviewers are talking about when they mention charging their phones via these plugs because they do not have USB ports. I suspect that the merchant ninja swapped the product and description on this product listing to a newer model without the charging port.
