> 3 dayYou have to be doing a lot of wood glueing projects to buy this glue by the gallon, and the small hobby bottles are always empty and pricy to boot. This is a good compromise on size and 3/4 of it wont die on you before you use it. Gallon jug is also hard to manipulate. IF you DO go through that much glue its still good to get one this size and refill it from the gallon jug as its easier to handle. Good midpoint value of price/size. I use it to also fasten foam to wood and certain upolstery fabrics to the foam, for building displays. If used to bond wood and upolstery foam, you must put the item flat and weigh down the foam overnight. About 5-10# a square foot and make sure it wont permanently dent your foam (I usually put another sheet of luan over the foam then put the weight on, filled and capped gallon jugs of water work well) The fabric I will glue as another pass after the foam is adhered, and CHECK FOR BLEED-test first! Some things a thin coat works well, some fabrics it will discolor, bleed through, or become too stiff to be pinnable. TEST FIRST. I consider Titebond II to be a good allaround glue, I stock that and the Gorilla Glue water activated poly stuff. Just be careful about not losing the cap.

> 3 dayOr did I just get sent an old bottle. All I use is Titebond but its always been more on the cream/gray side. I havent used it yet so Im not sure if I should just exchange it. Id hate for the return window to close and find out its not a fresh batch. Isnt there supposed to be a lot number where you can check the date? This one doesnt have a lot number anywhere.

> 3 dayI am a HUGE crafter!!! That said, I have used almost every sort of blue or adhesive out there and while a hot glue gun is great for a lot of things, there are just some things that you need a liquid glue for. This stuff is the best!!!! I mix in a little bit of water, probably a 4:1 ratio, and then I paint the glue into whatever surface and the item sticks!!! It’s amazing!!! SOOO much better than other “crafting glues” and 100 times better than Elmer’s white or school glue. For glass items or to add texture for a real cement like hold, I will do a paper machete sort of lining first, using nothing but napkins or paper towels... I even use kleenex or toilet paper. This stuff really binds well and dries quickly. It’s easy to work with and I am confident when selling or gifting my items that they will hold together nicely. I can’t say enough good things about this glue and I can’t imagine ever using any other kind for any of my projects!!
