> 24 hourMy cat cant figure out how to open a door that is left open a crack. She had some serious injuries as a kittens and sometimes she just doesnt get things at all. So we decided to put in the cat door here, so she could figure out how to get through the house and would stop being trapped in random rooms. I bought two of these, and put them in. They were very easy to install. I would not say this is the sturdiest plastic I have ever seen, but it will work for what it does. We got the double door, because she is a bit round in the middle and we werent sure the single door option would work. If we now close those little cat doors, she is completely shocked and betrayed, but we have the best of both worlds. She can get in and out of different rooms without screaming that shes trapped, and I can still lock her in when I have people over. Perfect.

> 24 hourNo more accidents if the door accidentally falls closed! At first I got my kitty a bumper for the door so it can stay cracked and she can paw her way inside, but the door in my new home was too heavy for her to open by herself. She was having accidents outside her room since I didn’t make sure the door was light enough for her. I came to the conclusion that I needed to get her a kitty door so she can have 24/7 access to her room even if the door falls closed. I still keep the bumper on the door for emergencies. I looked at different doors, some had brushes on them so they could be groomed when coming in and out, and I liked those a lot, but this one was so adorable. It looks like a little dollhouse door and I loved that it had French doors. My step dad helped cut the door hole for me while I was at work. I came home to it all put together for me. My mom is an interior designer and suggested I paint it black for some contrast. I am so happy how it turned out and can’t wait to paint it. Kitty walks in and out freely, barely needing to lower her head or make herself small to get through. I can rest easy now knowing kitty will always have access to her room no matter what. There are little locks to keep the doors propped open so they won’t fly around and scare or hit kitty when she’s coming through. There’s also a lock on one of the doors to keep it closed if I decided to. At first I was hesitant if it was worth the price but I think it all worked out and was worth it in the end.(I am a very frugal shopper) I am very pleased with the product. If you are considering a kitty door, don’t hesitate. You will love your investment.
