I am a plumber so I use hole saws all the time.. ! fact is all of them burn up over time. These are the best and longest life ones around and all I use.

Diablos quick connect chucks make changing bits very easy, this was the number one thing that led me to buy this set. There is no fumbling around trying to loosen the bit and not cut yourself while juggling a wrench and screwdriver etc. They are good quality will cut wood/plastic/mdf etc forever, metal you have to keep them cool and you will wear them out like anything else. The case has extra space to expand the set, I bought a few extra pieces to fill in the missing bits below 1 inch. They fit in the case just fine. It also has an adapter that allows you to use other holesaws with the quick connect chuck. You do have to thread them in and out, but this could help utilize holesaws that are not diablo. It does skip some sizes, the design of the Diablo hole saws does not lend itself to stacking inside the case, so it does take up a lot of real estate per bit. That being said the main attraction is the ease of use by having the permanent hex to tie into.

The Freud quick release system is life-changing. As a remodeler, after fifteen years of using inferior hole saws for my rough in plumbing, this kit is everything I wanted and needed it to be. Fast, sharp, efficient. I did end up unexpectedly shattering one of the pilot bits into three pieces when my drill jumped, which I thought happened a bit too easily. Fortunately the kit comes with two pilot bits, so I continued working and just ordered another.
