We love this projector. It has great picture quality and sound but the dvd player never worked.

Was skeptical when I read that a person in Canada said that the projector played region free, because they use the same region as the USA. I ordered this one and a definite region free one, I am pleased to say that it played my region 2 (UK) dvds which is fantastic as I have loads of them. I also tried the usb and it played the mp4, I have not tried the AVI format as most files in that format generally do not work (even on our TV) the sound is good but some of the DVDS were a little quiet, I did try the projector indoors and the picture quality was good but I was 3 feet away from a wall. I will try it outside as we have not decided if we need a screen or Bluetooth speaker yet, I will post a further review on this, lastly the difference between the 201 and the 201s is that the 201s is wirelessly connected to your iPad/phone/android device and with the 201 you need a lightning connector. Until I find my connector I cannot review that but it’s an extra $60 for the S and you can pick up the lightning connector for around $20-$30 so not sure if it’s worth it (at present) But for the price!! It’s a great piece of kit. Update 4/10/23 Okay so after trying out the projector outside a couple of times the volume is not that great so I found a cheap 10 watt Bluetooth speaker from Amazon and not only did it connect straight away the speaker is a great addition to the viewing experience. If you want to watch live tv, Prime, Disney etc then you will need to invest in a Roku or Apple stick to do so, after research on the whole protected content thing I found that the HDMI splitters were not capable of breaking the content notice.

I love this projector as it is all-in-one. It has WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities. What makes it unique that it has a built-in DVD player so no need for external DVD player to run movies. The build-in speaker is loud. Also, it can connect to a Bluetooth speakers if needed.

I know when buying it Im not going to receive an outstanding projector that has perfect sound and video quality. Im very happy with the quality considering I didnt pay that much money compared to other projectors that range from hundreds to thousands. It plays DVDs really well and setting it up is really easy. The only thing is it is quite loud with the fan or spinning of the DVD (not sure whats making the sound). It just emits loud noise when you use the projector, but you can play the audio really loudly of whatever youre watching so it drowns out the other noise. Overall Im pretty happy with the product.

I like the built in DVD player. I use this projector with Roku to watch videos and JW Broadcast. After contacting the company about the movie picture being so dark. They pointed me in the direction of how to lighten the image on the projector now the picture is beautiful. The other issue I have is that the power adapter gets really hot while plugged in and this issue has not been resolved for me. So for that reason I will give it a four star rating. I love all the features that this projector offer. Happy I purchased it and Im enjoying my movie nights. I would recommend this projector to anyone a perfect gift to share quality time and fun time with children making memories with them to last a lifetime. If youre like me that enjoy wholesome movies that entertain and educate with Bible based material to answer frequent life questions. This is light weight and very portable, I like taking this projector to hotels with me, putting it on a tripod, and playing my gaming consul on an 80 screen on the hotel wall. Since most hotels block you from hooking up other devices to their TVs this is a perfect fit for my travels. Nice and bright, crisp colors, I just wish I did this years ago.

Out of the box, I found the stand to unstable and it leans to one side. I’ve resorted to books to angle the projector. The picture was good without adjusting the focus ring, but after getting brave I was able to figure out the focus ring. It tends to be stiff at first and I was afraid of breaking it. I love the DVD player built in, i’ve used HDMI and the picture is good. Sound was good but the sound was so much better when you turn on Surround sound setting. I’ve felt the need for extra speakers and I am not that bothered by the fan noise. It’s not that bothersome and it’s a projector so I expect it. For the price and for the quality I think it’s great. It’s nice to know a projector at this price point exceeds expectations.

I bought this in order to have movie nights outside, around the campfire with my kids, or to watch sporting events outside during picnics and parties. Being a smaller projector, I was not expecting the lamp to be very bright and, consequently, the picture to be not very clear; however, the picture is much more clear than I anticipated! Likewise, because it is not very large, I was not expecting very much sound from the speakers, but they also impressed me! I also love the included tripod! For the price, I would definitely purchase again!
