> 24 hourI love auto-open/close umbrellas, and this did not disappoint, almost. Just push the button and it opens up. To fold it, push the button again and pull the knob down to lock. However, when it folds, there is no distinct lines where the fold are meant to be. The fabric feels slightly rubbery so it does not fold sharply along any lines. This is a big difference from my Eddie Bauer umbrella that folds perfectly every time. If you dont mind this little quirk, this umbrella will be just fine for its intended purpose. Just stuff it in the included pouch and no one will know the difference.

> 24 hourI wanted to replace my very old umbrella, and came across this 2 in 1 option as it provides sun protection as well. It is compact and very lightweight, which makes it a great choice for traveling. It is easy to use, quickly opens up and closes by pressing the button. The metallic color and UV protection keeps you nice and cool when you are out in hot sun. I will sure use it during long tourism tours. The construction is pretty sturdy, so should be strong during winds and should last. I am happy with this product.

> 24 hourThis is a great umbrella...it is easy to open and close, and has a nice wooden handle.. the top is a nice classy sleek silver and the inside is blue, its sun protectant as well as rain protectant.. It has a great case as well.. It seems pretty solid and sturdy.. I like the umbrella and it is nice and small so it can be used while you travel.. It opens nice and big and is not at all heavy.. Overall- great umbrella!!!

> 24 hourI dont know what it is, but the open/closing mechanism is faulty in these! I bought another one first, and it sprung threads when I opened it for the second time and stopped working..but I loved the coverage and sun blocking ability it has, however I had to return it! So I bought another hoping it would work better, and after using it the first time I had trouble closing it down. The mechanics are very stiff..I may have to return this one too, however I really needed it, because this Florida heat is already too much!

> 24 hourI assume because of the sun protection material this umbrella is a bit bulkier than my travel umbrella. It looks pretty, but it smells really bad when you first get it out. Never had to air out an umbrella before, but I guess theres a first for everything. Cant wait to try it out in the summer to see how much of a difference it makes in the bright, hot sun.

> 24 hourI got this for a trip to Europe, my skin is the color of a sheet of paper so I need all the sun protection I can get! I originally got the larger, wind resistant version of this umbrella but I found it to be too heavy for me to carry for any long length of time so I replaced it with this one. Overall I like it but I haven’t had the opportunity to use it in real life yet. My impressions are overall good, the weight is doable for almost anyone, the size makes it very easy to slip into an bag and the coverage I’m looking for is good. I do see an issue with the auto open and close feature, it’s a little touchy. If you put a slight pressure on the button it will close the umbrella and you have to fully retract it and then re-open it. Also you have to use a bit of force to fully retract the umbrella (easier than the larger, wind resistant version though) and it will take 2 hands so you’ll have to put the coffee down to do it! Overall I do recommend this umbrella with the above issues noted, if that changes after my trip I’ll add an edit!

> 24 hourWhile this may not be my favorite rain umbrella as it does not have the largest wingspan, it does provide sufficient rain coverage in a pinch for a single person and is compact enough to slip in a tote bag. I have yet to test it in high winds for durability but it seems fairly sturdy in construction. Its greatest feature is its ability to deflect the sun with its silver coating and UPF 50+ coating. One does not have to roast underneath as much as you would under a regular black umbrella. I live in Southern California where it is often sunny and cloudless, so this is a significant advantage. The button works excellently as well to open and close the umbrella, though it feels as if more force is required than normal (compared to other travel umbrellas I’ve owned) to push it back down into the handle after closing.
