Bought this for our class pet, a young gopher snake named Rosie Skittles. She loves it. Especially when we fluff it up for her. That way she can burrow under the Aspen shavings.

I bought this as an alternative to paper bedding for my rats travel cage because of the numerous issues with paper bedding and mites/baking soda. You can definitely buy larger bags of aspen at feed stores or bigger pet stores but I live near neither and just needed enough for a couple of weeks. I have had no problems with it (it isnt particularly dusty or too fine), I just wish the bag was a little bigger for the price.

This says on the bag dust free... ive never seen aspen bedding with SO much dust before.. my hand is covered in it ...definitely not buying again.

Very clean, dust free substrate for my snakes. There is more in the bag than it looks like. Very pleased with product.

Really happy with the actual product. Since this is thoroughly washed and sieved there is almost no dust whatsoever. Other brands say they are but pretty bad. We had one young snake die from what was probably a respiratory problem and weve always suspected dust from the bedding. My main complaint apart from the cost is the size of the bag. We wish we could order larger amounts and get some bulk discount.

Great bedding. Used for my cockatiels breeding nest, perfect. A little dusty when breaking apart, but not too bad at all. Super product, will order again.
