> 24 hourThe part is accurately described and was a fairly easy repair. It works flawlessly. I am quite happy with it since the current price of 3ds XLs on the second hand market are obscene. iFixit has a good guide for repairing this but you do not need to remove the main board. Once the internals are exposed it is easy to remove just the game card reader without removing anything else. Be wary of the ribbon cables and embrace the joy of repairing your own stuff!

> 24 hourI got some bad parts before on other sites and sellers, but this appears to be new-old stock. Paying extra for assurance was worth it to me just like another reviewer said.

> 24 hourI received 2 of these. The first one, the dpad connector came broken off of the board. The replacement could read game cards but up on the dpad wouldn’t work. Had to get a genuine replacement part from eBay (at half the cost) to restore my 3DS to working order.

> 24 hourThere are lots of bad cartridge slots out there especially on aliexpress being resold as new. I have never seen these new they are always pulled from machines so its a bit of a gamble what you get if it will be DOA. I decided to pay extra on Amazon in case I got a DOA I could send it back because of the better return policy. Plus I didnt want to wait 3-4 weeks to possibly get a bad one from China. I guess I got lucky because the one I got went right in perfectly and works great. I did manage to break the short ribbon cable on the left trigger because I failed to disconnect it and tried to just lay the cover down. my bad so now I got to fix that next.

> 24 hourAfter my daughter broke the last cartridge reader by putting the games in wrong with was a perfect replacement, worked like a charm and install only took about 5-10 mins. Btw you dont have to take out the motherboard in the new 3ds xls

> 24 hourAmongst the variations of the 3DS this is one of the easiest ones Ive had to fix because it required no soldering Its basically opening up the back and being really careful to unscrew the proper screws to get to the game car area slide it in position and place the ribbons back on. The reader itself works completely fine and the 3DS is now functioning with a game card reader again!

> 24 hourWorks good, but the PCB is so bent that you can spin it on a flat surface. Look elsewhere.
