One of my favorite paints of all time. This one dries glossy to an almost wet appearance. Love finishing off my minis with this after applying the DullCoate.

I use a LOT of this! Gives a very glossy wet look with the perfect shade of red for blood, gemstone, and effects. Its thick enough and that makes it easier to work with for tiny detail work. (A single paint-brush hair with a single dot makes a perfect red eye pupil for a 20mm miniature). Its not as easy to just wipe off if you make a mistake, but with a little practice, this stuff is absolutely amazing!!!

My lil boy is a horror fanatic. Like me. Actually, more than me. He creates scenes with his action figures and takes stop photo photography to make his own little gory videos. He was using store bought liquid fake blood in his videos and was becoming quite frustrated. So I took it upon myself to google fake toy action figure blood and this popped up. I read through the reviews and thought what the hell well give this a shot. My sonshine used up one bottle with a quickness, and that isnt a bad thing its a good thing. This stuff dries shiny one coat looks like fresh blood and a few coats look like coagulated blood - dip in some mangled q-tip fabric and youve got yourself some bloody guts! Buy this. Its great. 12 year old approved.

I bought this paint because I was unsatisfied with the color (both hue and transparency) of a different brand of blood paint I have. In a YouTube review of all brands of blood paints, this one was chosen as the winner. After trying it out personally, I have to say that this Citadel Blood for the Blood God is also my favorite! When you open the paint, it really looks like blood - both the color AND the thickness. Some other brands of blood paints are too thin and look like cheap fake movie blood, but not this one. You can still thin it a bit as with normal acrylic paints, but be careful not to do it too much. When it dries, it still looks like fresh blood and does not take on a purple or brownish color like some other blood paints do. Also, note that this pot is the smaller of the 2 common Citadel paint pots - so maybe get more than 1 if you use a lot of blood paint? 2 quick tips for painting blood: 1- Use a small piece of a fine sponge to apply the paint to certain areas for more realism. 2- If you want to paint blood splatter, take an old (retired) toothbrush and cut away 2/3 or so of the bristles (to save paint), leaving only the bristles at the tip. Then apply some of this paint mixed with a little (not too much) water to the toothbrush. Using your finger, pull the bristles back and flick the brush at the area of your figure that you want blood splatter. Repeat until satisfied. Note that this can be a bit messy so prep the area with newspapers or whatever and be careful.

Im fairly new to painting so I dont have much to compare it to, but I havent seen another paint that looks more convincing as blood on a model than when I use this.

I used this for my zombicide zombies. The pair makes the blood look fresh and wet. I only use this for blood on any of my miniatures now.

This paint goes on looking like blood and dries looking like wet blood. It really gives your figures some eye catching extra flair.
