Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 Codex: Black Templars, Purple

My friend donated a bunch of black templar models to me to supplement my Imperial army. Which s awesome, but he hadnt played since 5th or 6th edition. So his codex was out of date. I got this thinking it would provide me useful stats for his models. But nope, this books only has stats for about three maybe four units. I apparently need the Space Marine codex (which is $30-$40 more expensive). Which I now refuse to buy it on principle. This book is a waste of money. Bonus Con: This order technically got lost in the mail. I had to buy the book from another vendor.
