> 24 hourWhat is there to dislike about being able to see the fish your after?! The only drawbacks are that it uses a lot of power (can drain batteries faster) and its only a 15 degree beam. I bought it for anchoring up and going after springer chinooks, but it doesnt work all that well anchored in 4-6 feet of water. Trolling is a bonus though. Ive seen my bait up to 130 feet back in the bay. I see fish throughout the water column and I get to see what theyre doing - like how active they are, whether theyre checking out the bait, ignoring the bait, actual sizing, whether theyre moving or laying close to the bottom (the bottom itself can be a little fuzzy). Im not sure I could go back to traditional sonar after using this all this season - its eye opening and Im still amazed every time I get to watch a fish bite the bait. It never gets old!

> 24 hourI’ve been brand loyal to Garmin for years but I think my loyalty ends with the Panoptix Live Scope. I like what it does but the cable to the transducer is ridicules. Believe me, you won’t enjoy Panoptix long before they get you for another $1,000 to replace it. The slightest bend in the cable and it’s over. I followed their instructions to the letter. No tie wraps, no bends, only use tape. I am very careful with the cable and yet after 2 months of use, it’s out. I can’t even find the damaged spot . I’m very unsatisfied after spending over $2,500 on a livescope and a chart plotter only to have nothing to show for it 2 months later. They’ve lost a loyal customer. Hopefully you won’t make the same mistake I made. The pic show 6 hours work so far trying to make repairs to hair size wires. Not even sure this is the right location in the wire.
