Garmin Forerunner 920XT Replacement Bands (Blue/Black)

> 24 hourTook just a few minutes to replace my existing OEM band on my 920XT that was starting to crack. The order came with 2 screwdrivers, a pin and screw for each band, and of course the 2 halfs of the band. A simple one photo (no words) instruction sheet was also included. You need both screwdrivers as the pin will spin if you only try to unscrew one side. The first replacement went on fine, but the second side had a problem as the screw head snapped off when I was tightening it. May have been my fault for overtightening it. I simply reused one of the old pins and finished the job fine.

> 24 hourIm writing this review because I came back to order another one. I last replaced it in April 2020. This band is made to look cool, but is inherently very weak in design, with segments that are very thin and easily broken. Ive had a Garmin 920 XT for several years now, and love the watch! However, Ive had to replace the band due to breakage no less than once a year. Im retired, do no high-level training, and primarily use it for tracking swimming and walking. It doesnt get heavily stressed. These bands do not deserve to be used for a high quality fitness watch.

> 24 hourI really abuse this watch. I run and swim every day. I have owned the watch for over 5 years and have gone thru 4 watch bands. They work I just need to have one extra when one fails.

> 24 hourWhen I went to register the product, it said it maybe a copy cat product! Other than that it worked great.

> 24 hourOEM Replacement. I have all the colors. The black and blue one ripped apart at the buckle. I wear my watch all the time. Even when working on my car so I’m pretty tough on the watch straps. I recommend this replacement item. It also comes with tools.

> 24 hourThis is an excellent replacement band - it came complete with tool and easy to follow directions. I was thrilled to not have to replace my otherwise perfectly functioning watch. A great buy!

> 24 hourWorked great. All parts to do the repair were included. I needed only the non-clip side - so I will keep the other half in case it also breaks.

> 24 hourThis is exactly what youd expect--an exact replacement of the watch band that comes with the Garmin Forerunner 920XT. If you like the band that comes with the watch, then you will love this, because it is literally exactly the same. It is a rubber In the package, you will get both halves of the watch band (the band piece with the latch, and the band piece the latch connects to). In addition, you get two metal pins (the little metal bars that actually hold the band to the watch), two metal pin lugs (the little screws that hold the metal pins in place, and two metal pin lug tools (kind of like a screwdriver--its used to unscrew the lugs so you can remove the bar and thus replace the bands). Replacing the watch band itself can be a little tricky. You have two screwdriver-type things that you have to put on both sides of the watch. Only one of the lugs actually unscrews, and the other is permanently connected to the metal pin. Thus, you have to brace the watch against a flat surface, point both screwdriver tools toward each other, insert them into the lugs, and then unscrew one of the lugs. After unscrewing the lug, the pin should fall out the other direction (sometimes takes a little jiggling). Afterwards, the band will just fall off the watch. To put the new band on, you just reverse the process. The whole process takes about two minutes once you figure out that both lugs dont unscrew (trying to unscrew the second lug just spins the pin around). In my case, the band piece with the latch broke in half, so I only needed to replace it. I used the original pins, lugs, and other band piece, and kept the rest should I need to replace those later. All pieces come in a tiny resealable ziploc bag, so you can save the replacement pieces you didnt use for later. I wear my 920XT 24/7 (even to sleep), with the sole exception of when I take a shower (purely because I dont want soap grime to build up). My original watch band lasted about a year before it broke, so Im assuming this new one will last roughly as long. Ive had the new band piece on for a couple of weeks now, and it looks exactly the same as the old band piece, so you cannot tell its a replacement and thus newer than the band piece I didnt replace. I will also note that I dont think this replacement band will fit other watches. I also own a Garmin Forerunner 305, and the width of the band piece that actually connects to the watch is different, so I wasnt able to swap one band to the other device.

> 24 hourEasy to install. Exactly like original wristband, unfortunately, it lasts just as long - only a year. But its comfortable and I do wear and use my watch quite a bit.

> 24 hourBought this to replace the original band I broke after about 8 months of use. Wore it off and on, casually and on long runs. A few months ago, I went to sleep with it on, loosely. Pushing my arm under the pillow, half awake, it tore. Strangely enough, this replacement also tore around the same spot after leaving it on when heading to bed. Hoping to find a velcro band or something a little more durable.
