Overpriced for what it is. But, if you want a cable with the original type strain relief, it will work. Definitely overpriced. And Garmin should have built the factory ends to be removable like in this kit. No one wants to drill a massive hole to pass this through a deck or bulkhead.

Costly but good quality. Best used with an Ethernet crimper.

You will need an ethernet cable crimping tool for this. Its fairly tricky to get all the wires aligned and into the correct slots.

The Garmin network uses Cat 6 or 7 network cables. The cable end connectors have a partial metal sleeve around them, which connects via the ground/drain wire to the end on the other end of the cable. There is a lot of Cat 5 cable out there that will NOT work on the garmin network. But for sure, these ends, with the right cable, and you can make your own cables in custom lengths and wont have to buy the garmin cables.

This was a lifesaver after having to cut my network cable to snake through the t-top.
