Gemini Taurus 3 Diamond Ring Saw

> 3 dayJust starting out doing stained glass and thought this would make cutting curved pieces easier. Made first piece and was impressed by the ease of setup and operation. It does throw water around when cutting larger pieces and it does have a learning curve , but with a little more practice on scrap pieces this will work out. Planning on trying a different style blade to see if the edges can be smoother. Would be nice if they made a deal to order second blade with the saw and a little discount on it as a bundled purchase. Overall in the short time i have used it, very happy.

> 3 dayMy glassing friend & I are really enjoying this ring saw - mostly for intricate glass cutting. And the video which came with it is most helpful. Great product.

> 3 dayPlease review all negative reviews but definitely buy from Amazon as when the blade breaks in the first hour you can send it back to them. I have Amazon prime but can buy stained glass items wholesale. I would have been better off getting it from Amazon .I have over 40 years of experience and know the correct pressure to place on glass when cutting.I have a water softener use a tiny bit of soap in the water to lub the blade but though many units may perform well for awhile this saw has a lot of moving parts .As there our complaints from 7 years ago up through today .Having used a bandsaw for many years and no broken blades as a matter of fact the same blade It would appear Gemini puts them out there knowing many saws have issues and never have looked into why these saws fail.I strongly advise against buying this saw.

> 3 dayI use my saw a lot - actually I would LIKE to use my saw a lot. Unfortunately it is poorly designed and the blade slips off/binds or just plain breaks very frequently. Then the new blade is difficult to install. If you want a saw to use 2-3 times a week, dont buy this one!

> 3 dayI am giving one star for the product, not the seller. The seller sent the item as described but Im unhappy with the product itself. Used it for a total of 3 hours to cut glass before the blade snapped. I was not pushing hard or putting strain on the blade and since it costs $80 for a replacement blade, I boxed the saw up and it will now collect dust in my basement or be sold if I find someone to buy it. I went back to cutting by hand and using a grinder to grind the edges. A simple $30 hand cutter has given me hundreds of hours of use without fail where this $375 machine failed on me in 3 hours. I should have read reviews before I bought this because everyone seems to have the same problem with Taurus i didnt even bother contacting Taurus about this because lets be honest, warranties dont really mean anything and Ill probably end up spending more money on shipping the machine to them etc and I just dont want to waste any more time or money on this one
