General Pencil Company Masters Artists Soap 4.5 Oz.

This really works well for cleaning oil paint off my brushes.

Primarily used on hands and skin but also on furniture, etc to remove oil paint and childrens crayola drawings.

Ive bought this before and its a wonderful soap for getting paint off of your hands.

You will not find a better art soap than this. Been using it since my college days. I have yet to find any soap that gets paints off my hands as quickly. This should be in any artists tool kit.

This soap gets out 95% of stains. I’ve used it for years and love it!

I first started using this soap when working with acrylic paint & then with ModgePodge when I began making collages. Youd think that acrylic paint would be harder to remove & that it would just take extra scrubbing to get off but ModgePodge (or any adhesive) was worse. Unless you were prepared to stand at the sink in your classroom & really scrub, adhesives dried on your hands & would peel off for hours afterwards. Needless to say, it gave you the feeling of having artists leprosy & looked horrible. The Masters Artists soap worked beautifully. I dont know what the ingredients are but it has a gritty feeling to it & works perfectly to remove any residue from your fingers & hands. I would highly recommend it & bought TWO bars this time so I wouldnt run out in the middle of an art project.

I use this soap mainly for laundry on the mystery stains that often show up. It works even better than products made specifically for certain types of stains. Its fantastic at getting paint off your hands as well. I did find, however, that the wrapper stains your hands yellow and that transfers onto clothing. Of course, this soap will take the staining off, but it takes a couple of rounds if you dont notice it until its been through the dryer. I left the wrapper on when using it to scrub spots on clothing, so Id have a better grip. I finally figured out where the mystery yellow was coming from when I found a yellow handprint (mine) on a white skirt I had been wearing on laundry day! I must have dried my hand on the skirt. I recommend putting it in a mesh bag for gripping while rubbing on clothing. I just ordered another couple of bars to have on hand, it works so well.

That’s my go to for brush cleaning! Really cleans and keeps the brushes in very good shape.

Anytime I have anything on my hands that regular soap wont get off, I always turn to this soap. It is excellent. The only thing that would make it better is if it came in liquid form.
