This is a great replacement for the Gerber toilet which requires the larger flapper. The original plumbing company installed the fill tube on an angle in my toilet which made the flapper very difficult to install as the arm was almost against the back wall of the toilet tank....used vasoline to lubricate the rubber to help try to slide the holes over the tube arms...and was successful and the flapper is working perfectly.

Take that water company. I will not be giving them all that extra cash that was just running into my septic. We will see how long it last. I hope for more then a year.

I went to Home Depot and purchased a flapper. Did not take long to see that it would not work. I ordered the gerber 99-788 flapper and have never been happier. I liked the idea that Amazon had my back. The product worked from day one and continues to impress.

Its been a few days, product works as it should. Toilets no longer running. But the real question is, how long will it last.

The chain was to short and I had to remove the chain from the old flapper and install it on the new flapper. Not fun

This is the only flapper we use now. We’ve replaced all our flappers with this style.

We just installed this. The chain on this flapper was much shorter than the chain on the original flapper. We actually had to use pliers to switch the old chain to the new flapper. Works perfectly so far, but having to switch the chains was a major annoyance. Its easy to shorten a chain thats too long, but you cant stretch one thats too short
