This wire can be exposed to direct sunlight, as well as be buried underground. It is intended to be used in temperatures min -4F to max 140F.

The SPT wire for the plug is available in spT-1 or SPT-2 specifications corresponding to the plug, in three colors of black, white and green, with three lengths of 250FT, 500FT and 1000FT. So much easier to cut to length and use vampire plugs on it rather than those heavy store bought extension cords.
