> 24 hourI chose this smart plug because the description said there was a remote control, but I didn’t receive one. I downloaded the app and got it to work, but this was not what I expected. Thus far it’s working as expected.

> 24 hourThese devices are a great convenience, but I cant figure out the instructions. Installing it with SmartHome was easy. Then Amazon said to install the Gosund app to use the routines in the Alexa app, but that stopped it working with SmartHome and Alexa. Those apps appear to be incompatible. The second one I installed just with SmartHome works fine after telling Alexa to install the routine for sunset. I started over on the first one resetting and using SmartHome, but the sunset routine in the Alexa app still wont recognize it (error on connect - no idea why) even though SamrtHome and AlexaDot do fully work. Since it also remembered the name I gave it earlier, perhaps it remembered something else, but I dont see a reset to factory. The on line instructions for the routines didnt work as well as asking for the Gosund app that I now know is not needed. Asking Alexa to install the sunset routine I wanted before opening the Alexa app did, except for the first plug exposed to Gosund. I shouldnt need a masters degree in IT to activate a plug. Gosund demanded setting up an account for China to spy on me I suppose.

> 24 hourPicked these up around the holidays and hooked my Christmas tree to them. Set a timer so I didnt have to manually turn the tree on and off. After the holidays, I plugged my lavalamps in them. Being able to turn those on and off from another room is awesome!!!

> 24 hourThis plug works with smart life app (you can select wi-fi smart plug from the list inside app during setup) first you need to install smart life app on your phone, create smart life account and then enable smart life skill in Alexa. At first it was timing out during installation but then i figured out why - it was because the password was entered incorrectly once the wifi password info was entered correctly inside the smart-life app it was able to connect smoothly, at first the light on the plug was blinking fast in blue color but as soon as the app found the plug and started installing it the light on the plug turned off on its own and then turned back on again, this is normal, then screen was presented where you can name your smart plug anything you want, Alexa then found the smart-plug even without the command to discover devices.

> 24 hourI use these plugs for lights for my reptiles so they have a consistent day cycle as I work weird hours. They work great, are easy to install, and I can switch notifications on so when I’m not home I know when the lights are being turned on and off.

> 24 hourI really like these plugs, I use them for lamps and my teapot and they work great most of the time. Occasionally the lights will randomly start going off and on and I have to unplug them and reset them which is a hastle. Its happened with 2 different plugs so I dont know if its something Im doing wrong or an issue with the plug or app. Other than that I love being able to program my lamps to turn on and off or to turn on the teapot from a different room.

> 24 hourThey work with Alexa but it took awhile for a couple of them to be recognized by Godsend when setting up. But once set, its works great.

> 24 hourThe instructions that come with it guide you through setting this up with the Gosund app, but the device can be added using the Smart Life and possibly Tuya apps instead, which are less buggy and easier to connect to Alexa. Discovered this by accident but it would have saved me a few minutes of headaches. The Gosund app will stay resident on your phone (i.e., will show an icon telling you its running all the time which you cant hide), is difficult to link with wi-fi, and Alexa. The switch itself is nice and gives a satisfying click when you turn it on and off manually. It is probably just a little too big, though, and will block your unused outlet. A rectangular design might avoid that problem.
