> 3 dayMy son is 23 month old, about 26 lbs. We are leaving for a trip soon and I wanted a portable potty since we are potty trained for #2 incidents. Sadly, during our FIRST home trial to get my son used to this portable potty, it snapped into two and my son almost fell into the toilet! To be fair, my son was twisting around to see the owls eyes and hence his weight was shifted to one side but I feel like this is still too fragile. Given the stellar reviews of this product, I am willing to order another and give it a try. Hopefully I got a defective model and others are more resilient. I will update if I see improved results. Update: I ordered a second seat soon after the first one broke (I assume this one did not have new, improved strengthened joints since it was back in 3/2018 ). I have been using the second seat for at least a year and I am happy to report there have been zero issues. I have even taken it on trips, tightly packed in check-in luggage, with no problems. I assume the first seat was defective. The seller also reached out to me to make sure everything was okay. I am updated my review to reflect the great customer service and the quality/sturdiness of the second seat.

> 3 dayMy daughter is almost 4 and one of our major hiccups in finishing potty training has been public restrooms. She would SCREAM and refuse to use the toilets, so we would have to decide to never leave the house or keep her in a pull-up. Then I stumbled upon this gem. I honestly had low hopes of it helping, but from the first time I asked her to use it (after showing it to her before we left the house), our problem has DISAPPEARED. She literally shouts to anyone in passing now that she’s a big kid for going on the potty. BONUS: it folds pretty small, feels very sturdy, and is easy to wipe clean. Don’t hesitate if your child has public bathroom anxiety. This thing lives up to all the good reviews.

> 3 dayAny gimmick to help your kid use the potty right? The face on this works like a charm for ours. It’s also so easy for travel!

> 3 dayLove this little seat!! Pros - it comes with a travel bag - easy fold / unfold design - little flaps to keep from sliding around - toilet lid can close with the seat on - which I love because we can let it sit there for my son to use on his own and still flush the toilet without the seat being up! -fits on our elongated toilets and our families toilets which are standard / different sizes. - pro-tip, keep the ziplock bag this comes in - I keep the seat in the zip lock bag and have disinfectant wipes in the black travel bag with the seat, so I’m not getting the black travel bag nasty and can clean the seat before I put it back in the ziplock! Always clean and can put wipes in the black travel bag too! - folds up small! Cons -more of an issue if you have a little boy but sometimes he “sprays” a little up and it gets under the seat and the gridded back make it difficult to clean. - this isn’t really a con but I always forget how to fold it and I feel dumb when I do...so...be smarter than me. Overall we use this and travel with this weekly to my in-laws. He takes this to sleepovers with his cousins and fits in everyones toilets - ours are elongated and others are not - works great everywhere we’ve taken it. We’ve had it about a year now and it’s held up so well and no signs of breaking! I wash it weekly when I do my bathroom cleaning and do use bleach on it - there is slight fading on the front design at the corners, but that’s it - barely noticeable (see pics). If your little one is going places a lot or taking a day trip, this beats holding them on a toilet seat and is super easy to carry! I’ve used this more than any other potty training product.

> 3 dayWe are in the car alot and it makes potty hard. This little seat makes my son comfortable and confident to sit on all toilets. It came with a nice travel bag too.

> 3 dayEasy to fold and store in included plastic pouch which fits in smaller diaper bag. Top is easily cleaned but harder to clean underside which is necessary with little boys especially. Two fold down tabs work well to hold it in place on toilet seat. Minimal “slippage” on most adult seats. Be aware that this is more of a thin, hard plastic seat with no cushioning at all. Would buy again for use when traveling but not for everyday use.

> 3 dayI have used 3 different potty seats in potty training my son, and although I feel like the Fisher-Price one is the best, especially when they are just starting out, this one is definitely handy for on-the-go situations: Gimars Folding: This one is good for what it is- a folding potty seat you can bring with you if need be. This was good for the stage when he didnt feel comfortable sitting on the regular potty seat to poop. It has no splash guard of any kind, so your boy will either need to be able to pee standing up or have enough aiming skills to not make a mess everywhere. (I dont have a girl, but I would think it would work quite well for a girl as aiming isnt quite as much of an issue, I think.) It doesnt slide around with the silicone pads on the bottom, but it doesnt have any handles for the kid to hang onto. So its not quite as secure as the Fisher-Price, but you get the convenience of flat folding in exchange. My overall take is that for a portable potty seat, it does the best job you could reasonably expect. Fisher-Price Perfect Fit Potty Ring: Very sturdy, gives your kiddo a feeling of security when they are just starting out. Does not slip. Splash guard actually works. Does its job perfectly. Munchkin Sturdy Potty Seat: We ordered this one for a trip to visit the grandparents, so that we didnt have to pack our own. The Fisher-Price one was temporarily unavailable, so I figured I would try this one. Its a similar design, but the splash guard is not high enough to be effective. My son by this time had figured out how to pee standing up, so he just did that, but had he been in his stage of only being able to go potty with his potty seat, this one would not have gotten the job done. I also got the impression that he did not feel quite as secure sitting on this one.

> 3 dayEl diseño es atractivo para los niños a mi hija le gusta. De repente pensé que se doblaria porque no es un plastico muy rigido pero a durado jeje. En general creo que a sido una buena compra y más si lo llevas contigo ya que se hace pequeñito.

> 3 dayAfter my daughter picked up on potty training more quickly than I thought she would I had to rush to find a potty seat that we could use outside of the house that would be easy to fold and go. I decided to go with the pink one and as soon as I unpacked it my daughter smiled and said owl, so she could tell what the face on it was. It comes very well packaged, has a thank you card from the company with it, and has a plastic zip top bag for it to go in, and then another draw string black bag for discreetness. The potty seat itself is very well made and sturdy, and unfolds/folds quite easily. It has the gripper pads underneath it so it pretty well stays where I put it. My daughter was used to a toilet seat topper at home that had handles on the side that she would hold onto. I wanted to get her comfortable with not using handles while out of the house so I used this a few times at home first and she took to it right away. I make sure I pick her up and place her back far enough on the seat so it doesnt shuffle the seat around from the original spot I put it in. It holds her comfortably. I got to try it out for the first time this weekend when we went to a restaurant to eat, as soon as we got there and after the meal before we left. I put a toilet seat cover down first, then the potty seat, then put my daughter on there. Shes still getting used to public toilets as well as keeping her shoes and pants on when she goes so there was a little bit of fuss, but I just crouched in front of her and encouraged her and she went! I would highly recommend this seat, were going to get a lot of good use out of it. I also ordered some of the whole toilet covers that another reviewer mentioned here because since her legs are so short her legs and/or pants touch the front of the toilet bowl which completely grosses me out. She also still has that tendency to grab onto the toilet seat to balance herself. All in all, great find, definitely worth the money.
