> 24 hourThe base is fantastic to hold the GL.inet smart router, I have added magnets so I can put the router anywhere, including over my car. The latch is actually unnecessary and doesnt fit tight, as the base is tight enough to hold the router even if you add high gain antennas to the router, in case your router support the antennas. This holder is necessary to keep the back of the router accessible in case you need it. There is important information like the DDNS name or Private IP address that you may need to read in case you need to reset your router. So if you use this holder it will be easy to take it out to read it. The holder covers the reset and router buttons, which could be good or bad depending on your situation.

> 24 hourThis is a item you can live without but you will be glad you ordered it. I chose Velcro instead of the screws so I can easily move it. Rather than having it moving all over the desk top as the wires move, it stays where I want it. I often take the router on trips so I keep a few pieces of Velcro handy as setup in hotel rooms and offices. When I move on, I just peel off the Velcro from the desk or wall and toss it.
