Gold Flakes for Resin, Paxcoo 15 Grams Gold Foil for Nails, Gold Foil Flakes Imitation Gold Leaf for Jewelry Resin, Nails and Jewelry Making

I got this gold flake for craft projects involving medieval-style calligraphy and for gilding cheap frames without having to break into my stash of real 22-karat gold leaf that I use as a teaching tool. First of all, this looks like the real thing, which was a pleasant surprise. In my little video, you can see how similar this gold flake and real gold leaf look. The flakes are in a variety of sizes, so you may have to sort through some to find the size you need. It is pretty easy to handle-- much easier to handle than the real stuff, as you can see in the video. Larger pieces can be picked up with fingers, but the smaller pieces are easier to work with using tweezers. For my use, I need an adhesive (again, something that real gold leaf doesnt require), so I use a very thin layer of PVA glue (Sobo or Jade glue), being careful to not get any on the outside of the gold flake, which would affect the way light reacts on the surface of the flake. It only takes a very thin layer of adhesive for the flake to stick When in place on the object, it is nearly indistinguishable from real gold leaf, and even then an untrained eye isnt going to be able to tell the difference.

Loved the flakes, I used them on my natural nails only thing that I would say is that the jar didn’t come all the way filled to the top.(majority of it was though no worries but) Besides that it’s ♥️♥️

These are obviously not for the skin but I used them on my face in my birthday photos and it was really pretty. The foil tears easily but is still durable. I love it. There’s a lot in the container as well.
