I installed this grip on 3 clubs last week and I really liked them so I placed another order for one single grip for my 3 wood along with some other items. This new grip however had a strong chemical smell almost like wasp spray only worse? Nonetheless I installed it and attempted to thoroughly clean it with dawn dishwashing soap thinking the smell will dissipate over time but so far no change. It appears to be a genuine grip with original wrapping so I am wondering what changed between the two orders?

For anyone one the fence on these grips- get them. I absolutely love them and have gripped my last half dozen sets with these. Once you decide on the grip, you need to consider the grip size. I used to use oversized. After a while, I developed an issue with overgripping too tightly. The jumbo’s helped fix this with a nice feel. Now a lot of my older friends are looking to switch out to jumbos to improve their hand comfort after playing way too much golf!!! Lucky guys!

The grips are easy to install and feel good in the hands. The grips are pricey though.
