Ive had this cat tree for almost 3 years and I just replaced two of the pillars. My cats absolutely love it! I have two 15 lb males and one five month old female kitten. The males are extremely strong and pull on these pillars real hard. They shredded the twine but they love the twine a lot better than carpet fibers.

These are the only glue sticks I use. They are the best.

They are no better than regular hot glue. Stuff still falls apart.

To preface, I am a teacher, so I use a TON of hot glue. I put new things up on my wall anytime my student do something good. It’s called the wall of fame. I was in need of a quick and semi cheap hot glue gun because as I stated… teacher (inexpensive is the only option). The hot glue gun that pairs with these glue sticks would arrive in a day and came with hot glue sticks. GREAT! Answer to my problem. And at first it was worth the money. A cheap solution for a semi cheap problem. In hindsight I wish I had gone ahead and gotten a full fledged hot glue gun. This mini runs through the sticks which means you have to constantly buy more. I have also noticed that the things I hot glue to the wall, such as paper, comes off the wall in 3-4 weeks. Which means I am never done hot gluing. I have to pull it back out every 3/4 days for the new wave of flying paper. It feels like Harry Potter with all those letters flying about in the living room. I think if you are doing SMALL projects and need a small gun go for it. But if you are going to use it frequently for jobs to last a while I’d go for a bigger and yes more expensive option.

Gorilla glue is great. It hold better than regular glue sticks.
