The filter attachment that can be fitted on the bottom of the of the powerhead isnt really a filter, it is more of a water polisher. It cannot be relied upon as your only filtration....but it really does make a huge difference as far as water clarity. This multi-pack makes the cost of the refill cartridges so incredibly reasonable.

These are great fir keeping water clean. I replace once a month; takes about 5 minutes per AquaClear filter

These filters for the AquaClear powerhead cannisters work beautifully. Easy to drop into the cannister. Makes for crystal clear water! Clears white sand particles out of the water. Will pull out excess food before it decomposes into liquid and gets pulled out by the protein skimmer. Requires weekly filter changes or it may clog up with debris and reduce water flow. Reasonably priced. Love the fact that you can buy them in bulk.

I have used these for years to help keep the water clear. I change them every monthly water change. The good thing is, with the price of this 24 pack, they come out to just over a buck per each one. Thats a good price.

I use this filter and it’s medium for my 55 gallon tank as an extra air flow filter but it’s like a workhorse. It does a great job getting rid of particles in the tank.
