Greater than one weekI used this product on the beach mainly and while waiting for the bus in the hot sun. Honestly had to adjust the level to the highest level to feel some type of cool breeze. As far as battery life i gave it two stars. If your using the fan on the highest level for long periods of time it will loose battery life faster.
