Hangman Products S2040A No Stud TV Hanger Mount TVs up to 55-Inch (Pack of 3)

Im not a TV on the wall person but was forced to because of my new homes layout. I thought I would need to hire a professional. This was super easy and fast for me to hang myself. My tv is on the smaller side however.

I bought this to mount a 50 TCL Roku TV in our living room. We used this TV mount over our fireplace (that we dont use) where the previous renters had fastened a piece of plywood for their TV mount. Overall, it took us 20 minutes tops to mount our TV with just a few steps and minimal tools needed. I have wiggled our TV a few times just to be sure, and it seems very sturdy and secure against the wall. I would recommend this mount to anyone with a TV that falls into the 80 pound and correct screen size range. This product is awesome!

I live in a Trailer Home and really dont know about walls like I know about walls in a regular home, however it was easy to install, I pulled in it before I hung my TV on the wall bracket and it was unmoveable and all day I was checking on it, but its still hanging tight and NO WALL DAMAGE or BIG HOLES WAS MADE. This was worth my money and will tell everyone I know about this items. Very pleased and happy.

It does the job, it’s better than what we expected honestly. We’ve bought $200+ mounts and this does the job!

Its great. This is my third one. The first one I got from the Hangman website and my sister ordered one from Amazon a few months later and it arrived fine. Then I ordered another one from Amazon but it came defective. The holes were not spaced evenly like the other two, the middle hole was not in the middle, and the back foam was damaged. I ordered a replacement and that one came fine. Just make sure you dont receive a defective one because your TV kind of depends on it. Returning it was annoying but the replacement came quickly.

A little difficult to get tv onto mount alone. Itd be very easy with another person to guide while doing it

Could not believe mounting a tv could be this easy and secure - but it was! Somebody knows how to engineer who created this. Only slightly difficult installation part was securing the safety cable after the TV was mounted - not sure how you are supposed to get a screwdriver up underneath with so little clearance, and you couldnt remove the TV for clearance as you needed it there to secure the cable. The only tiny glitch (we managed to get it secured) and I LOVE this Hangman product. Would recommend highly to anyone.

Its worth noting that my use of these is a bit unique. I have a 65 Toshiba TV, and I enjoy it very much. My apartment wouldnt allow me to drill or tap into the studs in my living room wall so I was unable to use a standard wall mount hanger for my TV. So heres what I did... I actually reached out to Hangman Products directly, and let me start by saying that they were very friendly to communicate with. Since these are meant for 55 TVs and smaller, they do not work particularly well with anything larger than that. The reason for this is that TVs larger than 55 typically have the inputs and outputs facing outward from the back of the TV rather than downward. So for these, the cable clearance was a concern, but also the weight. Each of these is rated to hold 80 lbs. My TV is approximately 75 pounds or so. This is pushing the limit a bit, and made me a bit uncomfortable. But what about using two of them on the same TV? I can confirm that it works! Hangman Products stated the design limitations and weight concerns above when I spoke with them, but in theory, if the hangers could be spaced apart well enough that each was holding equal, or close to equal load, then it should have no problem holding. I risked my nice expensive TV to feed my curiosity, and the cat is still alive! I made sure to verify my measurements exactly multiple times and checked my math, and had my math checked, and mounted these into the walls with their suspiciously tiny picture nails. Trust me, when you start hammering these things in, you start getting quite concerned and thinking These puny things that I can bend between my fingers are going to hold up my giant TV???. Somehow, through science, physics, witchcraft, black magic, or some previously undisclosed alien technology, they do so just fine. Mine has been hanging on the wall since December, 2016, and it hasnt budged even slightly. To solve the cord problem, which is a real issue, I ran my HDMI cables into right angle adapters and filled up every input on the TV. Then I ran those cables into a project box that I built and used HDMI, TOSLINK, and other wall plates, and mounted it underneath the TV. So if I ever need to switch inputs, its right there under the TV, which has turned out to be easier than it was when the TV was sitting on the top of the entertainment center. OVERALL: Great product. Ingenius. Im a believer, they work. Its a tough breath to take before you let your hard earned money rest on these seemingly puny things, but breathe easy, these wont let you down... UPDATE (3/12/2020): Glad that this was helpful to so many folks. Id like to update that we have since moved from our apartment and into a new home. While uninstalling these mounts, the screws had to really be pried loose to come off, they hadnt moved a millimeter and were solidly still in the wall. I also decided to reuse them in our master bedroom in the new house for the big TV using the same technique described in my original review, and that TV has been hanging on the reinstall of the same mounts since 2017 and its still firmly in place. These really are awesome!

I was very impressed by this device. I had my doubts like anyone else. It takes a hammer and a drill or screwdriver. I have 58 tvs I was installing in my apartment. This leave small holes that are easily filled with toothpaste without notice. Its very study and I never worried about it falling. The tvs are still up without incident. I highly recommend anyone to buy one of these instead of a bulky mount you need a stud to hang.

Now that it’s finally hung, I’m very happy with this product. But they need to provide clear instructions regarding which of the many bolts included are the correct ones for your size TV. Bolt sizes are not labeled so you get to measure very similar sizes to figure it out, not as easy as it should be. It’s been awhile since I installed, but I recall searching the interwebz for clarity and feeling frustrated. Your mileage may vary.
