I was able to fit a lunch box inside the bag to carry all the drinks I take to work plus can fit a food container, large planner, folder of papers, keyboard, and computer all in main compartment. Side pockets are large and stretch. Whatever goes in them does take away storage space in the main compartment. My 40 ounce S|M bottle fits in side pocket (3.5 inch diameter) as does 24 ounce Ninja cup. Holds its shape when opened as long as internal contents are evenly distributed. Looks cute! Seems like good quality out of the box
