After 2 years from purchasing my 1st one. I decided to buy another. I use it during work hours in a factory and love how loud the sound is. Its versatile and I can take it anywhere if I wanted to. I definitely will be buying another when the older one stop working.

Sound is amazing. It has depth. I have bought two previous Bose (one within the recent month of purchasing this) which I thought had great sound, but this doesn’t compare when it comes to sound depth( base) I wish the battery lasted a little bit longer. I am very satisfied. This was recommended by my friend, and I doubt I will go back to a bose.

To take full advantage of this awesome speaker, be sure to install the HK Connect app. The app allows you to connect two or more Studio 4 speakers (up to 100+) all from one Bluetooth source and guides you on how to setup either Stereo or Party mode. Stereo mode is obviously configured as two separate channels (L&R) where Party mode is full sound out of both speakers with no left or right separation. If youre on the fence about buying and think you should shop around more, dont! These speakers garner attention where ever I go. First thing they mention is sound quality, then how deep and distortion-free the bass is and lastly, how clear it sounds (better than Bose). Oh yeah, almost forgot... when I show them the HK app and can distinguish a Left & Right channel. They are BLOWN!

Im a previous owner of the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 3 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker but ended up giving it to my son as he had it with him most of the time. When my wife asked what I wanted for Fathers Day there was no hesitation that I wanted another Harman Kardon Onyx Studio Wireless Bluetooth Speaker. This time I got the upgraded version (4). In my opinion they are the best mobile speakers out there on the market.

Hello, I thought I would help anyone interested in a superb Bluetooth speaker. The Harmon Kardon Onyx is one of my fav. Speakers. This model is their 4th generation. The speaker has amazing full range sound being from low to mid to high. The speaker does retail for a lot and is well worth it. I use to have the second gen and just recently had to upgrade to the new model. The battery life is not too bad. About 9 hours of play back. You can leave it plugged in charging and use it at the same time. Also their is a HK App. Someone gave it terrible reviews, not sure what their prob is. The speaker does have the option to do stereo sound with another one or even do multi room audio with a bunch connected together. The app is where you can set it up those features. Also in the app has battery status in. You can also tell when your power button light starts blinking your speaker is low on juice. set up your speaker to use Siri with the hi app with the press of a button or just say hey Siri. Works fine too. You can’t go wrong with this speaker. For the price and quality and the sound. You will be amazed. Also one thing Harmon gets right is bass, it’s just right and works.

This actually is an early Christmas present for my husband, so it’s wrapped and we haven’t used it yet. It’s identical to one that we used at someone else’s house while they were gone. I was so impressed with the quality, that I ordered one right away to avoid availability problems closer to Christmas. I’m sure he will love it!

I am extremely disappointed in this speaker, speaking as someone coming from a first generation Harman Kardon Studio speaker that I purchased May of 2015. First and foremost, the sound quality out of the 4 is half of what the 1 puts out still to this day. High range is clear, mid range is cloudy and boring while the bass is underwhelming, especially after reading so many reviews praising the bass quality. Frickin lol man. Once you hit ~20% volume the bass caps out and doesnt go any further. My gen 1 booms in my room whenever I have it playing. Secondly, I bought two #4 speakers in order to pair them in a party environment in order to keep the volume consistent across the house. First impression when downloading the app off of the App Store, was the amount of negative reviews. And you can also see the same comments in the 5 star reviews. PAIRING WORKS RARELY / IF AT ALL. Two brand spankin new speakers and they consistently unpair, crackle, pause playing, lose sync and play out of turn, fade in and out, etc. Not even 15 minutes into the pairing session and they were having issues. My second speaker, while still at half charge, decided to shut off after 5 minutes of playing just today while out in my garage. Turned back on, resumed playing, and 1 minute later turns off - the other speaker, which has been on the same length of time as the first speaker worked fine out in the garage. The build quality of the speakers seems fine and refined. Seems like a quality product coming out of the package. However, being in 2018 you would expect a QUALITY company like Harman Kardon to be able to produce speakers that 1) can sync just like most other bluetooth models 2) produce a clear sound 3) have some kind of bass quality. Read the other reviews where users just shrug off the aux cord not working... what? When is that ever acceptable? Aux cords have worked perfectly for YEARS and this speakers fails to do something so simple. Okay sure, the speaker can get loudish, but the quality is highly distorted, it cant pair with other speakers efficiently, and Im already having defects with one of my speakers. Currently listening to music off of the working speaker while writing this review and Im still disappointed. Incredible how they could make something they had made perfectly before into such a failure of a product. Safe to say I will not be purchasing from HK any longer. Both units are being returned via mail tomorrow. Truly disappointing.
