These are the ones for pipeliners. At least triple the life of cheaper ones, you can wipe off the deposits with your glove and keep going. I use one on the outside and one on the inside of my filter plate. For flip up you want an impact lense on the helmet side, so when your flipped up you have some safety when that cutting wheel youre too lazy to swap out for a stone explodes. I use mine with both passive glass and the arcone autodarkening.

The lens works perfect for the outer shell insert. I would suggest adding another lens on the inner shell but if you are using an adjustable auto dimmer like the lincoln 2xc4 I suggest you get a box cutter and repeatedly score the lens to accommodate room to take adjustments to your dimmer on the spot. Not most people do that.. It works awesome for me!

These are perfect as a straight edge when drawing in the field or in a shop environment. They are small enough to fit in your pocket, clear, and even have a little paper case. 10/10 drawing tool.
