I purchased the Hathaspace Air Purifier and it came with a filter that lasted the 4 months I would have expected. I purchased the Medical Grade filter to replace the original filter. However, I was very disappointed with the filter I purchased. Just after the 1 month date of the replacement Medical Grade filter I purchased being in the machine, it started beeping at me. I will say that there have been days my kids leave the doors open and the air quality is not ideal, terrible in fact, however, the air quality in the house stays between 7 and 9, which is EXCELLENT. Just after the month mark and the machine beeping at me, I had to change the filter again, because thats what it said to do. The new filter I put in is the same one that only lasted a month, because as soon as I use one I buy the next one, glad I didnt wait. Love the air quality, but the filters are too pricy to change monthly at ~$65 per filter. Ill probably look at the Off Brand replacement filters, because Im unwilling to replace the filter for that cost every month. Ill update on how long the next one last and let you know about the Off Brand replacements as well. Overall, the filter gets a 3, because it does keep the air clean and allergies down, but for the price, it looses stars.

This is not an odor eliminator. Other air purifiers do that job. Those are industrial air purifiers. This one filters dust and smoke. If we replace the machine someday, we hope to choose something made in the U.S.A.

I love the Hathaspace it does a great job as evident by the filter and how gross it gets collecting all the dust replacement filter is a bit spendy but it works. I vacuum the filter every couple weeks and get these to last about six months before the blue prefilter material start to tear (vacuum from the inlet/intake side)

Hathaway filters and purifiers are the way to go if you have any sort of allergies to dust or pet dander. This filter and system cleans 1500 ft area in minutes. You can tell the difference when on. Love the product and recommend to anyone.

Hathaspace explains in their owners manual that when the timer & auto lights start blinking at the same time, it is now time to replace the composite filter package and rinse off the pre-filter. What they should also note in their owners manual is that when replacing the composite filters, it is possible that both the timer & auto lights will continue blinking and they should explain how to remedy this condition.

It is easy to install, can be cleaned carefully, and works well.

The original filter still seemed to be working after 5 months (the read out still gets down to 9) and we have a cat and like to have the back door open to our screened porch whenever possible. But eyeballing the filter it was getting pretty dirty. We always have a spare on hand but now its on subscribe and save. Price is the same as Hathaway but were not sure what carrier wed be getting.
