> 24 hourWell, I was falling down the steps one day, reached out for the bannister to break my fall. I survived, but broke the center bracket, of the 3 installed on bannister. I found these brackets and they are an exact match for the old bracket, except that there is a little more meat in this bracket, so it is a stronger piece. I only broke one, but when searching Amazon for brackets I found that the building code calls for a bracket every 48 inches, so my rail was not up to code. Now I have 5 brackets on the rail, and need to order one more. The rail is so much more firm, feels safe, not bowing between brackets at all. The finish on these is antique bronze, very attractive, perfect fit, stronger built, and are easy to install (if you can find the stud!). Comes with all the screws nessasary to install. I forced the screws with my drill, and no screws broke, as others have complained, that guy breaking screws must be King Kong! Please be sure your bannister is up to code, stairways are are common places for household accidents. Love these brackets and I actually had fun installing them! Thanks! Kem....9/25/22

> 24 hourExactly what I expected. Package included everything needed for installation except screwdrivers. You’ll need 2 Philips screwdrivers, 2 screws are smaller than the other 3 (each bracket is accompanied by 5 screws). Really could’ve hacked it with a leatherman. Took about 3 minutes from start to finish. Now when I use the stairs I’ve got a sturdy bannister to assist my battered knees.

> 24 hourThese are much better and heavier duty then the old brackets that broke that I replaced. The top holes mostly match the position of the top holes on my old brackets. These were a bit longer but it was easy enough to screw in the bottom screw with a powered screw driver. The clamps matched one of the two old holes, but again, easy enough to screw into the bare wood on the railing for the second hole. Im a big guy, these rails are now rock solid when I put my weight on it with these new brackets.

> 24 hourHad to replace broken handrail bracket, the bronze color blends better with the older rail.
