You maybe able to fit a few stuffed animals or 2 blankets. Feels rough to the touch, so would not leave near a curious toddler or sensitive skin. Theres a similar product made of cotton that you may consider if softness is a concern.

I wanted something cute to store my daughters toys in. My daughter is 6 months old and has a lot of little “baby” toys that were all over the place. I was extremely happy with this basket. It’s larger than I envisioned and it holds her little toys, along with some of her stuffed animals! It’s sturdy and cute. It will be flat and little wonky when you first unbox, but that quickly goes away after you fill it. Highly recommend.

I bought with intentions to use as a laundry basket, but its a little to small. I’ll find another use for it since its so cute
