I installed it and ran pid and re-calibrated the z axis with bl touch it works wonderful, prints pop right off after cooling for just a little bit

Crispy clean prints. Material comes right off on a cold bed no needing a scraper. Leaves a nice matte finish on bottom of prints. I’ll be ordering three more after I finish writing this. I’ve not been paid or prompted for this review. Stop reading this and get this metal print bed. Skip the Plastic ones!

I love how you can obtain high-quality products like this one from China at an economical price! The manufacturer and seller, HICTOP, are mostly based in Shenzhen China but it was shipped from a US FBA warehouse so it arrived in one day with my Amazon Prime. Best of all, this magnetic build plate works perfectly with my HICTOP D3 Hero IDEX printer! Perfect adhesion when printing yet prints pop right off with a simple flex of the plate when finished printing. And then, to reinstall the flexplate on the print bed it just snaps back on via the magnet that stays permanently attached to the print bed. Highly recommended!

Got this bed primarily for bed adhesion and it does the job perfectly but what I didnt expect to like also is that it makes it so easy to remove the prints and it actually evened out the uneven areas on my bed. Goodbye glue sticks and uneven prints.

best build plate i have used, works best at 60c and higher. need to print a scrapper for it because the finish is soft and can be damaged with metal scrapper. best way clean is by using blue dish soap and a scrubber that is approved for Teflon coating. you know its clean when hot tap water sheets off. i have used for PLA, PETG, PC/CF blend and ASA with great adhesion. you do need to wait until it cools off some or you can damage the finish.

Failed prints because the magnet underneath has poor connection, which causes shifts in the plate, leading to spaghetti-ville. Last night was the straw that broke the camels back. The entire plate, print and all, was pushed off the printer. Getting a magnetic plate was to avoid using clips. Beware.

The first few prints were great. They were larger items printed with PLA filament, and the adhesion was pretty good and they released just fine. After about 10 prints however, the build plate lost all its adhesion properties and now nothing sticks. Ive tried PLA and PETG filament. Ive tried adjusting the bed temp from 20 degrees to 70 degrees with stops at 5 degree increments. Ive printed with hotter filament temps and then tried on the lower side of the filament temperature range. The filament flows, then starts to glob around the nozzle because its not sticking to the print surface. When I switch back to my glass bed I can print just fine with the proper filament nozzle and bed temps. I even tried replacing my nozzle thinking it might be a nozzle clogging issue. But no, its entirely a problem with the print bed.
