> 3 dayThis bag is nice and thick, very sturdy and has a nice feel to it as well. The outer material is thick and padded, with a rain proof inside that can close up with a drawstring at the top. This would be great for outdoor use. The interior pockets have a nice soft padding to them, and are firm rather than just floppy material. This helps hold things in place when they dont fit the entire size of the pocket, and helps keep the pocket from snagging anything youre trying to put in the bag. The zippers are nice and big, opening and closing easily without snagging. The straps to open it have plenty of leftover room for this bag to expand and still hold the flap on completely without feeling that its almost open. It also has some great padding on the back side, so you wont be pressing hard objects into your body. Really, the only thing this is missing is a chest strap to help hold the shoulder straps together, and maybe a hip waistband to help remove some of the weight from your back. I plan to use this for camera lighting and other accessory gear, because I need a good heavy bag that will hold larger things safely.

> 3 dayI have a son in college, and this backpack is perfect for him. The sleeve inside for the laptop and the other sleeve that is perfect for a tablet will serve him well. Theres lots of other storage options: the saddlebags for carrying water bottles for example. The entire thing is made of a fabric that has almost a rubbery feel that is very water resistant. When I ordered this, the listing said it was waterproof… I dont think Id go throw it in a river any Time soon, but it will certainly keep anything inside and dry if you get stuck in a rain storm The straps are comfortable, and its nice that it has extra padding and venting on the back so that it wont get super sweaty. The top handle is sturdy, and will be able to support quite a lot of weight - which is a good thing, because this bag is very spacious. Hell have no trouble fitting all of his books, laptop, calculator, pens, notebooks, etc. inside this thing. Inside the outer zipper pocket there is also a detachable key ring which is convenient as well. Overall, my son really likes this backpack.

> 3 dayI obtained this Himz Warrior backpack to use for travel. -I really like this backpack, I have the black version. -The backpack is made of a sturdy material and is lightweight. -It has a very spacious central compartment. -Theres a laptop compartment lined with a microfiber type material. -The back is well-padded and comfortable. Overall, this is a really nice mid-sized backpack, and I recommend it!

> 3 dayThis is a very nice looking and well-made backpack. The material, I think, is the most unusual thing about it, it feels like canvas with a slightly rubbery coating, I like the feel of it, I just wonder how it will wear for the long term. I love the hardware they used, the clasps with the Xs and the big over-sized zippers. It has an industrial design look to it. For the photos, I filled the main compartment with two large coat jackets and there was still plenty of room left in the exterior pockets. For some reason I picture a commuter in NYC wearing this backpack in the rain. I appreciate that theres a flap with clasps over the main compartment to help protect against spills and theft by pickpockets. The padding on the back is quite thick, it adds a lot of bulk but Im sure if I was wearing this backpack fully loaded for any length of time, I would appreciate the padding. The only thing I dont like about this backpack is the white rubbery lettering, it could be mistakenly considered political in a way that I dont want to be associated. I thought about putting a pin over it, but I dont really want to poke holes in the fabric, and a sticker doesnt seem like it would stay stuck to it. Im sure Ill find something to look good in that spot.

> 3 dayTheres a reason HIMZ, (the manufacturer) calls this the warrior. although theres raised lettering on the front that calls it patriot. Either way, this is one durable, well made bag. We just started using it, but at this point Id say that all the features the manufacturer has pointed out are accurate. First of all, the basic material is very strong. I count four pockets on the exterior, (image to the right) and they truly are on the outside of the bag; they didnt take room from the interior to create the four compartments. And each one is easily accessible from outside the bag. As for the interior; theres a good sized compartment for a 16 laptop, (maybe a little larger one without a cover,) and two more. All are lined. Im guessing that the linings are there to protect the electronics in case the bag is dropped or slammed while in transit. If you choose to, you could pack a 13 laptop in one sleeve, a phone in the next, and enough clothing for a long weekend in the rest of the roomy interior. (see image on the left, that shows the bag, fully loaded.) The closures on the exterior are robust and theres a drawstring on the top, under an oversized, two layer flap, that provides an extra level of protection from the elements. The padded back will probably provide a reasonable cushioning for the average walker, although that would not be me. Im a pack and load type traveler. The HIMZ warrior/patriot is a really solid backpack. And the price seems more than reasonable. It may not be for the arctic explorer at the edge of the world, but its more than sufficient for the average traveler who wants to take electronics and clothing in the same bag.

> 3 dayThis sturdy backpack has plenty of pockets and is soft enough to keep your laptop safe. My laptop is 14 inches by 9.5 inches, and it fit snugly in the laptop pocket. If your laptop is wider than 9.5 inches, you might have trouble getting it to fit in the designated pocket, but you could still place it in the larger pocket. The backpack has plenty of pockets for other items, including two side pockets that can hold water bottles.

18-11-2024The overall quality of materials and construction of this backpack seems very good. I like the simple sack-like design (as opposed to the more common zippered access), useful for carrying certain things, for example, larger camera gear with irregular shapes. What I like: - The materials and construction feels durable. - Easy-to-clean (water resistant or even waterproof) EVA surfaces. - The walls have weight/thickness to them (rather than a thin fabric), helping the bag to keep its shape. - The side pockets can be used to carry a water bottle or even a smaller camera tripod. - The area facing your back has 3 pads designed to create a gap for air circulation. (Keeps your back cooler in warmer weather) - The pack walls have some substance; they are not just a thin fabric, providing some cushion when carrying items like camera / tripod. Could be improved: - Regarding the horizontal small strap on each shoulder strap, meant for holding sunglasses: Its located too high, almost near the shoulder level when you are carrying anything at all in the backpack. (It should be moved or made adjustable to be useful.) - Use of the heavier materials made the whole backpack heavy even when its empty. (Thats not a good thing for something like a backpack.) Overall I like it for carrying certain things, for example camera gear. But it would not be my first choice for daily use because of the extra weight. I am giving it 4 stars. As measured by me: - Empty weight: 1,035g (2.28 lbs)

> 3 dayThe backpack appears to be well made of durable material and easy working zippers. Id would hesitate to call it waterproof though. Water doesnt bead up and roll off like other waterproof materials Ive tested. It seems to soak into the outer skin somewhat. The insides will be protected for a while but I dont think you will want to have this out in a downpour for very long. Nevertheless, I still give this bag 5 stars because I like everything else about it. It has two front zippered pockets - the largest can fit an iPad mini. Two side zippered pockets for water bottles, etc. The back has three pads - one on each shoulder blade and one for the lower back - to make it comfortable to wear. The two shoulder straps are adjustable and padded as well. The main compartment cover is secured with two adjustable clip-in straps. The inside compartment has three pockets - a divided mesh pocket and two flannel lined pockets. The smaller flannel pocket will fit an iPad mini and the larger flannel pocket will fit a full size iPad (also a 15.6 computer but I didnt have one to test that). The main compartment closes with a drawstring that is easy to use. One other thing I like about this backpack is the size. It should conform to most airlines specifications for a personal size bag and therefore not require an extra bag fee. I havent taken a trip yet to actually check this backpack in the airline gauges at the airport but I dont expect any problems.

> 3 dayThis is not your basic backpack. It is taller then most and the material feels almost rubberized yet flexible. It will be easy to clean. Both sides have large zippered pockets large enough to hold a good size water bottle. The inside has to deep pockets protected with a rigid yet slightly flexible board to protect a laptop. I wish these were removable so if I didnt want to carry a laptop the bag could be scrunched down. It would be an amazing book bag for school or carry on for travel. I want it to be water repellent for all my fishing, mushrooming & hunting fun. The protection from the outdoors is a big deal in wet country.
