Hitachi 998839 Switch 1P Pillartype C10FS/H/B Replacement Part

My old chop saw quit working. It sputtered the last few times, then balked, then quit. I thought there was little chance to find the switch for such an old machine, but I plugged in the numbers and there it was. Easy installation and the saw is back up. Im happy! Much cheaper than a new saw!

My Hitachi C10FCH2 miter saw had a faulty switch which was stuck in the on position. This was not a perfect fit for the saw but it worked to replace the broken switch and I am able to safely use my saw again. After taking this photo I wrapped the handle in electrical tape because there was a gap that would have eventually filled with sawdust. Gad spent $15 to fix this rather than several hundred to replace the saw!

Fits and works great

Yes was an easy direct replacement for the OEM trigger switch. Just a word of warning it does NOT come with the three set screws. You will need to take those from the old switch. So don’t throw it out.

It is what it is a replacement switch, but a perfect replacement at that. Fit was exact, saw up and running.

My thirty year old Hitachi is up and running again! Making stuff and making money! Very happy with it.

Perfect replacement for the switch on my Hitatchi CF8 slide saw. Be careful when you open yellow plastic bag. The 3 set screws (that secure the wires in the switch) are loose. I found the one that dropped. No longer do I have a saw that sometimes takes several trigger pulls to turn on, and sometimes gets stuck on.
