Hobart H522506-R19 0.030-Inch 2-Pound ER308L Stainless Steel Welding Wire

Its a Hobart product, need I say more. This wire is for my Hobart 140 and it works perfectly. I will however not purchase it from amazon again. Amazon packaged it in a paper envelope and the spool was badly broken, fortunately I had an old / empty spool to rewind the wire on.

I probably could have gone to a welding supply and found this,,,, but amazon had it for a good price and it arrived fast. I used it on stainless exhaust piping and it worked great

Okay, any pro welders out there are going to laugh at me, but this may help some other amateur like myself. I ran out of .030 wire and had some of this sitting around. So with my C25 bottle hooked up I tried welding mild steel with it. It turned out really bad. Really bad texture. So the obvious answer is, dont use stainless wire on mild steel. The parallel issue is, get a different inert mix, or only use it on stainless, or both. Anyway, I cant blame the product, and it is made with the same quality as other Hobart products.
