> 24 hourOk so I first wanna say that Im not a professional designer. With that, this program didnt load to my computer very easy and once it did it was kinda glitchy. I ended up restarting my computer and then it ran a little smoother but still slower than usual, maybe my computer is getting to old, who knows. Once I was in the program it was hard to get started as there wasnt much instruction or tutorials to help get started. A lot of the words are ones I had to look up to understand and abbreviations that I also didnt know. I tried to watch some videos about it, but not much help there. So far I havent had time to mess with it again but once I do Ill update this review if I get it figured out.

> 24 hourWe can start with what is kind of nice. The DVD case comes with the activation code and download link from a random file hosting site. You can install it without using the disk. Once activated and running, it is extremely hard to use. I could make a square structure but always put the doors and items in the attic and could not find a way to switch floors for placing things. It also seems the program was built for metric, and imperial is just a conversion every place. There were no problems running on Windows 11, but it appears that this program has not been developed since Windows 7. I cant recommend this as a software developer myself to anyone.

> 24 hourYou get what you pay for. I purchased this software to do a simple floor plan for an extension to our home. After spending an hour fiddling with drawing walls or at least trying to, I gave up. (I’ve worked with other CAD programs and this has got to be the worst of the bunch.) This software is difficult to use and not intuitive at all.

> 24 hourGiven all the applications that I have had to learn over the years, I fairly familiar with how to learn and navigate through new applications. This Home design software compatible with Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 7 applications is challenging. It isnt as intuitive as Id hoped. When I went to view the 2D dimensions, it was very small and it took me forever to figure out how to keep the focus when I zoomed in.

> 24 hourI have played with many different design software programs and this one looks great IF you know how to use it. There are other programs that are much more user friendly. Ill keep tinkering with it, but its definitely not my go to program.

> 24 hourWhen you switch computers they do not support you transferring the program. They told us you need to repurchase it for another computer system. I DO NOT recommend this. Horrible customer service.

> 24 hourIf the only tool that you have is a hammer, then every problem looks like a nail. You can mold and slide 3D objects around the X, Y and Z planes in Blender. You can build blocky walls in Minecraft. But those are using hammers on screws.

> 24 hourI tried installing it straight from the disc but the program refuses to start and actually freezes my pc until i eject the disc. The setup file needed to be copied to my pc before i could install it.

> 24 hourThis package is obviously European as the units are not USA standard. Once I set the primary units as feet, the density was still metric(kg/m3) as were several other units critical to construction and the option for SAE units did not exist. Even after setting the units to feet, when I attempted to lay in a foundation as a rectangle with the grid snap set at half feet, the dimensions continued to be in decimal inches and I could not set the foundation to the desired 34 by 44 but instead had to be satisfied with 34.xx by 44.yy. I was not pleased with this program at all. It is possible that it was a learning curved but having retired as an engineer and having extensive experience with AutoCAD, either I got really stupid when I retired or this program is poor. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
