Good program for someone that can use it everyday. The videos help a bunch to learn

Lacks sufficient tech support. Does not include user manuals (Can be printed separately at significant cost). Not for the technologically challenged. Take note of the significant computer requirements. Anything less than the recommended capabilities (i.e., minimum requirements) will make this program pretty useless.

As noted in a prior review, Amazon sells the 2021 version of this program and nowhere in the description is it noted as such. However, also thanks to the prior review, I contacted Chief Architect and within 30 minutes I had the latest version added to my account.

Since I purchase this software I had someone else to call the Tech Support twice for assistance for the same problem, the toolbars blanks out and I was unable to bring it back. Currently (3rd) time I have the same issue, which I havent call for assistance myself because of your office hours, I had to asked another individual to call on my behalf, dont want to explain. I like this design software, but the recurring problem with the toolbars are a pain. Not a happy camper.

This product is a dream come true. As an aspiring architect this product is the perfect combination of utility mixed with a user friendly interface and quality of life shortcuts.

I have owned Home Designer Pro for several years and several versions. It is a wonderful program for a non-professional. I have designed and built several projects. I love the ability to create a 3D image while I design and also the ability to create Facades and plans. Everything is drawn to scale in Imperial Units or metric. It is not an engineering program, it will produce complete drawings if you know how to use it, but it will not calculate weight loads etc. Chief Architect does produce software for the professional but the cost is higher. For the enthusiast, this software is the best!

This is a great product that will allow me to grow in to a hobby Ive been away from for a while. Ive got a lot to learn but the help videos are very useful. Still early, still learning but very glad I made the purchase.

Lets start with the most important thing: Amazon sells the 2021 version. The current version is 2023. If you want the current version, best to go direct. The listing does not specify which version, and I was surprised to get the old version. No offer of upgrade, just Amazon sells the old version on contacting them. The version should clearly be listed on Amazon.

I began with the 2012 version of Home Designer Pro. It was good, and I quickly realized I needed more ... much more for what I do. Home Designer Pro is awesome.

I personally enjoy using this much more than AutoCAD or any other general-purpose software
